How to Filter PropFuel Alert Emails in Your Inbox

Edited

When PropFuel sends check-ins on your behalf, replies from contacts come back as email alerts to your reply-to address. Some of these replies may be auto-generated — like out-of-office messages or automatic replies — which can clutter your inbox. You can set up filters in your email platform to automatically sort or hide these so you only see real responses.

Recommended Filter Keywords

Create a filter rule in your email platform that looks for these keywords in the subject or body of incoming PropFuel alert emails:

  • "out of office"

  • "auto-reply"

  • "auto-response"

  • "automatic reply"

  • "thank you for your email"

Any email matching one of these phrases is almost certainly an auto-generated reply rather than a genuine response from a contact.

Filtering by Email Headers (Advanced)

If your email platform supports filtering by email headers, you can also filter on these common auto-reply headers for more precise results:

  • Auto-Submitted: auto-replied

  • Precedence: auto_reply

This method catches automated messages even when the subject or body doesn't include the typical keywords listed above.

How to Set Up Filters

The steps for creating a filter depend on your email platform. Here are links to instructions for the two most common platforms:
