To connect with the Novi AMS, you will to enter the following information:

  • URL (usually your website)

  • API Key

Instructions for setting up the API key can be found in this Novi AMS document. For scope, we will need access to all member data, so make sure the "Limit Member Data" slider is off.

Mapping

You are able to map Parent and Grandparent record fields from Novi to PropFuel.

Sync

PropFuel will sync your Novi AMS member data every hour, to make sure any fields you have mapped stay up to date with the latest data from Novi.  We map records that have a customer type of Person into PropFuel, but you also have access to the parent account fields for those individuals if applicable.

Triggers

The following trigger is available in campaign level workflows:

  • Groups - Create a group of contacts in Novi AMS to pull into a PropFuel workflow and add or remove from a campaign

Actions

The following actions are available to write back data in question level workflows:

  • Update Member - Update a field on a member profile

  • Update Parent - Update a field on the parent record for a member.  If the member does not have a parent record nothing will be written back

  • Create Member Activity - Create an activity record, with an activity type, subject and notes, that will show on the member profile in Novi

  • Create Parent Activity - Create an activity record that will show on the member's parent record.  If the member does not have a parent record, nothing will be written back

A note about actions: Novi requires the entire user profile/record be sent back to Novi, along with the updates. If you have required fields in a record that are empty, this will cause write-backs to not occur. This is because Novi is looking at the returned record and sees that there is a required field that is empty (even if they sent it to PropFuel that way) and that they should not save any of the data sent over. We recommend either data cleanup or turning off required fields. Connect with your CSM to chat more about this.
