Creating, Editing, and Using Email Templates

Edited

Templates are how you'll design the look and feel of your PropFuel communications. Watch the video below to see a walk-through of the template types and how you can modify them for your needs!

Summary:

There are three kinds of templates:

  • Email template: how you'll initiate the conversation via email

  • Check-in Page template: how you'll ask another question or continue the conversation

  • Thank You Page template: how you'll conclude the conversation

The email editor allows you to choose a header image, type in your prompt or email text, and houses the question you'll ask your members or contacts. You can change the look and feel of this email by using the buttons on the top left side, and add blocks using the + furthest to the left of that navigation. It's important to also consider who your email is sending from and what the subject line is - which can be edited on the right-hand side of the email editor.

You have the same functionality for editing your check-in and thank you page templates. You do not need to edit the question box or the landing page text box; these will come from other parts of your campaign, although you can change the look and feel of them within the template editor.

Templates can live in three places - within your account, within a campaign, and at the check-in level if you select them. If you select templates at the check-in level, those will be what the member sees. If not, your check-in will default to the templates selected at the campaign level. We almost always suggest selecting an email template for each check-in so you can update the prompt text and the subject line to be unique from the other check-ins within that campaign. You can do so by hitting the gear icon on the top right side of the check-in box within the design tab.

If you plan to reuse a template, hit the "..." to the right of the template and name and save it (pro tip: make the name intuitive!).

When you're done editing your templates, feel free to hit the gear icon and hit "send test email" or "view test check-in" to see how it looks and decide if you'd like to make any further edits.
