Edit a SMS (text message) Campaign
Editing an existing SMS campaign in PropFuel allows you to update messaging, adjust settings, or modify recipient criteria. Follow the steps below to make changes to an existing campaign.
Accessing Your SMS Campaign
Log in to your PropFuel account.
Navigate to the Campaigns tab in the left menu.
Locate the SMS campaign you want to edit.
Click on the campaign name to open the campaign details.
Editing Campaign Details
Once inside the campaign, you can update various components:
1. Modify the Campaign Name or Description
Click the Settings tab in the campaign.
Click the Make necessary changes and save.
2. Update the Message Content
Navigate to the Message section.
Edit the text as needed.
Use personalization tokens (e.g., {{FirstName}}) to tailor messages for recipients.
Ensure your message stays within the character limits (160 characters for standard SMS, 60 for messages with multimedia or emojis).
3. Adjust Scheduling
Go to the Schedule section.
Change the sending method:
Scheduled: Set a new specific date and time.
Sequence: Adjust wait periods based on when a contact is enrolled.
Save your changes.
4. Modify Recipients or Enrollment Criteria
Open the Audience section.
Adjust the filters or lists to update who receives the SMS.
Save any changes.
5. Update Attachments or Link Shorteners
To add or remove an attachment, use the paperclip icon.
If modifying a URL, use the link shortener tool to save character space.
Testing Your Changes
Click Send Test Message to preview the updated SMS before saving.
Ensure the formatting, links, and personalization tokens display correctly.
Saving and Publishing Edits
After making changes, click Save.
If the campaign is live, confirm any updates to ensure they take effect immediately.
For scheduled campaigns, verify the new settings before the send date.
