Duplicate an Existing Email Campaign
There are a few main reasons you may want to copy a PropFuel campaign:
You have a previously run campaign you'd like to re-run for this year or season.
You are looking to have multiple versions of a campaign, and it'll be more efficient to copy your existing draft and make adjustments as appropriate for different audiences.
You have a scheduled campaign that has already sent, and you need the same check-in(s) to go to a new group of contacts.
Here's a step-by-step guide of how to copy an existing campaign:
Click on the campaign you'd like to copy, and navigate to the Settings tab.
Scroll down to the "Handy Tools" section and click "Copy Campaign"
Choose the new campaign name and decide whether you'd like to copy the templates as well (this is on by default). Then select "Copy Campaign."
You now have your campaign copied. A copied campaign by default is exactly the same as the original campaign with a few exceptions:
The enrolled contacts tab is wiped of all contacts.
Contact workflows (if used) are still there, but turned off.
Action workflows are still there, but turned off.
Start with the first check-in. We'll begin by reviewing the templates. You'll do this by clicking the gear icon at the top right corner of the check-in box, and selecting Templates. Click "Edit" for each of these templates to review them, and make edits as appropriate. Hit "Save" to save your changes.
Then review the action workflows for the first check-in, by clicking the right-facing workflows arrow (furthest right button) and clicking on each of the actions. Make edits as needed. When you're finished making edits, turn the workflows on using the radio button at the top right corner of each workflow.
Repeat as needed for each check-in within the campaign.
If you're copying a campaign you're not very familiar with, we encourage you to send yourself test emails to experience the campaign for yourself! You can send yourself test emails by clicking the gear icon and then selecting Send Test Email. Test emails are only good for 12 hours and then expire - so be sure to send them at a time when you can review them!
Once you're confident you've made all the changes you'd like, enroll your contacts. You can do this via a CSV upload or by navigating to the Workflows tab and using a contact workflow (more details on enrolling and removing contacts can be found here).
When the contacts are enrolled, then turn the campaign live! You will need to turn on any embed campaigns first before turning on the scheduled or sequence email campaign.
